We are looking for a Quality Engineer with expertise in Aerospace Technical Publications and a strong background in Quality Management Systems (QMS), specifically ISO and AS9100 standards, to join our team in Rochester, New York. This position will involve driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance across the entire development life cycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor project performance, handle non-conformance issues, and facilitate risk management practices. Your contributions will ensure high-quality standards in line with both internal and external expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with QMS processes throughout the E2E development life cycle (project planning, monitoring, risk management, etc.)
  • Lead and facilitate internal audits, driving corrective actions for continuous quality improvement.
  • Implement quality strategies and standards across the assigned portfolio.
  • Monitor quality metrics, including project health reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide risk management guidance to identify, mitigate, and report risks.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing innovation, automation, and quality improvement processes.
  • Facilitate customer satisfaction analysis, identifying areas of improvement and taking action to enhance client relationships.
  • Assist in the customization of quality practices and frameworks across services and projects.
  • Conduct and support external/customer assessments and audits.
  • Review and monitor project progress to ensure timely and effective delivery.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management standards.
  • Certification in ISO and/or AS9100 is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or Total Quality Management (TQM) methodologies.
  • Experience with risk management, defect prevention, metrics analysis, and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for process optimization and innovation.
  • Ability to manage non-conformance issues and corrective action processes.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in safety management systems and identifying safety hazards across operations.
  • Familiarity with customer satisfaction measurement and action planning to improve customer relations.
  • Expertise:
  • Certification in Six Sigma or similar quality management systems.
  • Prior exposure to Aerospace Technical Publications.
